No dedicated video storage?
Have you thought about replacing the 580 with the 670?

Dave Dwyer Sep 30, 2012 1:22 AM (in response to Alex - DV411)Memory - 16GB G Skill 16G(2x8G) DDR3 1600MHZ PC3-12800 CL10(10D-16GBXL)
Workflow is download to hard drive, edit and produce, then archive on externals.
Yes I thought about the 670 but I don't see it listed as a supported card on the Adobe site? http://www.adobe.com/au/products/premiere/tech-specs.html

If that works for you, I see no problems with your build.
670 would be a better card; easy to enable GPU accel with it; will likely make it to the supported GPUs list eventually.

Bill Gehrke Sep 30, 2012 5:37 AM (in response to Dave Dwyer)Minimum Specs from Adobe is two drives, your boot and applictions and a second drive (at least 7200 rpm) for your projects.

John T Smith Sep 30, 2012 8:27 AM (in response to Dave Dwyer)For "some" others, with at least 1Gig of video ram, use the nVidia Hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557 - which is a simple entry in a "supported cards" file
