Nope I still sometimes drag effects out of habit as well, and I haven't ever seen this issue occur. You might need to reinstall Premiere, if you do though make sure to use the adobe cleaner utility after you uninstall the suite.
Then reinstall, all I can figure is something is corrupted with your install of Premiere.
I got the MasterSuit so you recomending unistalling the lot? or just PP? what about my 3rd party Plugins will i need to re-install them too?
thanks for feedback
Well you MIGHT not need to reinstall but this is the fastest way I can think of to fix the issue. Since I have no clue what is wrong, when this happens I often decide it's just easiest to install it again.
What I'd do is first trying uninstalling just Premiere Pro, then if that doesn't work remove the entire suite using the apps standard built-in uninstaller. Then run the CS cleaner tool, then reinstall your apps, you will have to reinstall any plugins as well.
Since I'm not really sure why it would freezing the way you're desribing I can't really think of any solutions. All I can figure is something is somehow corrupted. Because that is very strange behavior that I haven't ever seen myself.
One thing you could try first that I just thought of is... You could attempt clearing your preferences by holding ctrl+shift+alt when you launch Premiere. Although this will obviously clear your preferences, and I don't think it's likely to work. Although it's worth a shot before uninstalling.
Does it freeze up with any effect?
Does it happen with Audio or video effects?
Also does it do it in every single project you have?
thanks for your reply. Now thinking about it, its not happening with the default effects its only my 3rd party effects and its only been since the latest update (6.0.3) ill try as you suggested and re-install PP and see whats happens before and after update. thanks again for your advise.
WHy not unistall the effects first?
