Missteach Sep 30, 2012 11:23 AM (in response to Missteach)Not sure why DWCS6 didn't recognise why the extensions were installed but I read the answer on the P7 forum. Even if the extensions are checked, you will first need to uncheck them and then recheck them. It's not enough to look for unchecked extensions. With around 80 WA and P7 extensions, this can take some time!!!

The files related to extensions are stored in your personal configuration folder. Dreamweaver automatically migrates them from a previous version, but doesn't automatically enable them because they might not be compatible. It's done as a safety measure.
Obviously, with 80 extensions, re-enabling them is going to take some time. Often, upgrading to a new version is a good time to reassess whether you still need every extension. But if you do, you have my sympathy with the time it's going to take.

4. Re: All my extensions have disappeared from CS6 with latest update !!!
Missteach Sep 30, 2012 1:45 PM (in response to David_Powers)Hello,
Yes - that's the odd thing. All of the check boxes in Extension Manager were checked indicating Dreamweaver had regarded them as compatible - hence the confusion.
Perhaps, if this new behaviour for updates is going to continue, it would be worth Extension Manager automatically unchecking the extensions to avoid the confusion. This way, We would know we simply needed to reactivate them.
In reference to the amount of extensions, I simply can't do without the P7 extensions.
Although the WebAssist extensions are a bit 'hit and miss' to whether they will work. or not. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't! I don't rely on them owing to this.
Thanks for your input anyway.

Al Sparber Sep 30, 2012 9:31 PM (in response to Missteach)In spite of how David Powers portrays this, it is very likely a bug or lazy programming. If anyone else was bitten by this issue, here is the relvant thread on our forum:

For what it's worth, I have disabled all automatic Adobe updates. I will not install one unless I see a specific note as to what is being updated and a specific reason why.

Nancy O. Oct 1, 2012 2:29 PM (in response to Al Sparber)Hi Al,
Just to clarify, this "upgrade" wasn't rolled out to everyone. Only Creative Cloud members received this one. And what a doozy!
I decided NOT to upgrade now -- which sort of defeats the whole purpose of Cloud membership. But that's for another discussion.
