Installing latest showing wrong version in registry

I installed the latested install_flash_player_11_active_x.msi from the flash player distribution page.  The version on the computer I installed was reporting as 11.3.300.270.  After installation, if I went to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ it shows I have 11.4.402.278; however, the DisplayVersion in the registry is reporting as 11.4.402.267 - sounds to me like that entry didn't get updated in the latest build.

This is on a Windows 7 pro 64 bit machine.

You are correct.  We missed this one and will be correcting it in our next release.

Any idea when the next release may be?  Trying to decide if just to skip this one.

You can skip this one as long as you had the initial 11.4 installed.  There was no functional change to the player, only a change to the way we did our build process.

The next update should be out in a week or two (if all goes to plan).

Okay - last question - will it affect future installs if I do go ahead and install this, even though it has that error?

As far as I know, it should not.  The GUID for this build is correct and this should be cosmetic only.
