How are you requesting for the data.. using absolute path?
if you application is on a web server than you should use relative path... because the file is not present of the remote machines...
You can use httpservice like:
<mx:HTTPService id="dataService" url="data/info.xml"
Flex SDK Team
(network drive) G:\Demo\main.html from my machine works. For somebody else computer, it doesn't (can't load...).
The code called from applicationComplete="onApplicationComplete()":
private function onApplicationComplete():void
// Load info.xml
var httpService:HTTPService = new HTTPService();
httpService.url = "data/info.xml";
httpService.resultFormat = "e4x";
What error do you get the fault handler?
Did you try adding the full url? including the host name?
Other users get the following error (but not me!):
[FaultEvent fault=[RPC Fault faultString="Error #2148" faultCode="InvokeFailed" faultDetail="null"] messageId="1531423A-F5C8-9197-4EE2-5C4FEFCBC1C2" type="fault" bubbles=false cancelable=true eventPhase=2]
What I do not understand, it is why it works fine for me but not for others!
Can you try to compile your app with -use-network=false ?
I Go to "Project --> Properties --> Flex Compiler" and add "
-use-network false" to the Additional Compiler Arguments. And then rebuild.
It is working!
