Thanks it all checks out and is correct. Like I said I think 32bit version was downloaded previously onto my computer but as it appears still in my control panel it seems like it has never been comepletely uninstalled hence my problem. I can not see it on my computer under installed software, is there another way of finding it, comepletely uninstalling it and then for my computer to show in the control panel that flash player as 64bit?
If you install Flash Player 11.4 on a 64-bit Windows system, it will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit players.
However, the Flash Player Settings Manager in the Control Panel is only 32-bit. It is completely stupid (in my opinion) to put that fact into the Control Panel, as it really confuses most 64-bit users.
Please go to my change request and vote for it: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3295974
is there another way of finding it
You can check what's installed on your computer
- the 64-bit player is in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash
- the 32-bit player is in C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash
Ok thanks, but why does it not work? I installed, uninstalled and installed it again but no luck?
