InDesign Not Importing Full PSD Files Properly

Hi guys, I have a very strange situation here.

I'm currently using InDesign CS6 and Photoshop CS6. In Photoshop, I have a PSD file that has two layers in it. The first layer contains the picture of a car and the second layer contains shadows of the car. Whenever I place the image in InDesign, it only shows the first layer with the car and the shadows don't show up. The strange thing is, than when I first import it into the document and it shows the thumbnail version of the image, it DOES show the shadows. It's once I place the image into the document that the shadows layer disappears.

Now, I went in and decided to merge both layers together thinking that would fix the problem, but the shadows still won't show up.

I have a couple of other images that also have multiple layers with shadows and those work just fine. It just happens that this particular image won't work.

Does anybody have any idea on how I can fix this strange glitch?

      Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Thank you,

      Roberto Taylor
