unfortunately the Edge Inspect didn't install in my device, a Genesis GT-8230, with android 4.0.
if I look for it at Google Play, I saw the same problem that i've had before, with shadow:
" Este aplicativo não é compatível com seu Unknown GT-8230. " [this application is not compatible with your ... ]

We're not sure what the issue is. When we upload our application to the Android store we don't place any limitations on which devices our app can run on. Our Android client is compiled to run on Android 2.1 - 4.1, and we optionally make use of GPS and various networking features. We've attempted to contact the Google Play store people to find out why your device is not supported, but we haven't received a response. Our best guess is that your device doesn't support one of the features that our app uses, so the Google Play store prevents you from downloading it.
The only alternative I can think of is if you have another Android device available (or could borrow one), you could install the Edge Inspect application there, grab the APK and sideload it to your Genesis device. I'm not clear on the details of how to accomplish that, but this might get you started: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/how_sideload_android_apps
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions,
