I have more than 100 clips, the foreground of which will always stay the same, but the backgrounds of which will change and need to be re-rendered regularly. These clips are also spread across several sequences and, currently, projects - though I could import all sequences into a single project specifically for this purpose.
Rather than having to manually select the work area, then open Media Encoder, then name each file separately, before finally running the entire queue, I would like to find the best way to replace the backgrounds (presumably by replacing the source files with others named the same) then scripting or automatically rendering a previous queue but with the new background resources.
The ability to change the source and destination directories once and this be enacted on the whole queue, and, preferably to append or prepend the filename with additional characters would also be really useful.
Thanks in advance people
I am not 100% certain, but this sounds like something you could script After Effects to do. You might ask the scripting gurus in that forum.
If you had a lot of comps and just changed the images, I think AE can deal with that. Maybe.
