Edit>Preferences>Guides and Pasteboard.
Find Pasteboard Options (margin settings) at the bottom of the box.
Ah, and just one note: "Workspace" is a different beast... Let's call ours "pasteboard"

And you can always zoom to fit the page or spread in the window, regardless of the pasteboard size.
You'll find the commands (and their shortcuts) in the View menu.
Thanks, winterm. I think I found the Pasteboard settings (and thanks also for the correct term...). But I don't see margin settings, all I have is a Minimum Vertical Offset, which visually doesn't appear to do anything:
Peter, thanks for the pointers to the shortcuts - always useful. I'd figured out how to zoom in and out, but my problem is that I'm working on a document of about 40 pages, and I lose a lot of time if I zoom in and out as I move around the document. The pasteboard was originally much smaller, and it wasn't too bad to move around, but now it feels like this is all I'm doing!
Any further suggestions, please? Am I missing a setting to show more options?
Thanks Peter, that sorted it out fine. Much appreciated.
