The error is the library's. ADE just reads what's in the loan information
the library has supplied. You should contact the library and discuss this
with them. Sounds like someone didn't set the information up correctly.
Thanks Frustrated. I realized on the way home that my question could have been more complete.
When I look at the item info for the book in ADE, it has a "viewing until" date that agrees to the library's checkout record. It's the banner across the book cover image that reads "1 week".
My question, perhaps, should have been - what information will ADE look at to determine when my book will expire?
ADE on my home PC - v126.96.36.1991 - works fine. I have v2.0.66574 installed on my work PC which is where the issue is occurring.

ADE looks at the end date of the loan period and calculates the number of
days left until it expires. The banner might not be as accurate.
This is clearly an ADE issue, as it was fine prior to the newest editon. I have the default on the library web site set at 14 days, however, when it is on ADE, it shows, 7 days. I can use my old lap top, which, has an older version, and it is fine.
I agree with truckin48. I use two different libraries and every book I've downloaded since I installed 2.0 has always off by a week and will "return" the book one week early.
Yes, the problem seems to be yet another ADE2.0 issue best solved by upgrading (sic) to v1.7.2.
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

Thanks very much for the link. I am happily reverted to the older version.
