Not sure what you're saying. Unless you enabled the "Render composition in background", there should not be constant render activity... Perhaps elaborate on the issue?
That's exactly what I'm looking to disable. I have been looking for an option to disable it. Would be great if you could point me in the right direction.
He's referring to the new feature in CS6 that constantly renders the comp you're working on the background. You don't have to specify it, I don't think. I am also looking to disable this. It's great in simple comps, but in complex comps this lags the interface too much. Is this some kind of secret preference? I am liking CS6, but the inteface is slow, especially when moving between frames on the timeline.
I have found a little tweak that speeds up the inteface considerably in CS6 for me. In the Timeline panel, disable 'Show Cache Indicators'.
