    z-index not working in webkit browsers - chrome & safari

      Weve created a dynamic map with clickable items to show information about the selected point on the map. Events are fired on mouseover, mouseout and click actions. The relevant object should then be displayed and be brought to the front of the stage via the z-index being updated. This works exactly as expected in Firefox but the z-index property is being ignored in chrome and safari. Exploring the code with firebug and google chromes dev tools shows that the z-index property is being updated correctly on the hover and click actions but it is not displaying as it should in safari & chrome.

      The z-index of the objects is being updated like this:

      sym.$("your_object_name").css("z-index", "100");

      Any ideas how to solve this issue?

      Thanks.
