I can confirm on a Mac that this is happening to me as well.
I ran the updater. I'm showing version 6.0.2 (072 (MC: 264587).
I wish I grabbed a screen shot from About Pr before, because I can't tell if this is a new version or not.
Can somebody who hasn't run the updater please let us know what version you're showing?
Ditto! Even after the 6.0.2 update (when it first came out) a second account on our mobile edit Mac wanted to do the update again. Now our main editing account, as of this morning, wants to update 6.0.2 again. Just checked to make sure I wasn't mad and yes I am actually at 6.0.2 already.
I'm guessing there's a glitch in the Adobe updater. Corrupt plist maybe? What to do?
Having not run the repeating updater i'm showing 6.0.2 (MC: 264587)
It just dawned on me to check my laptop, which was also already at 6.0.2. About Pr tells me the "old" version 6.0.2 is exactly the same: 6.0.2 (072 (MC: 264587).
I can't imagine that all of our Updater prefs just simultaneously became corrupted. Something must be wrong with the updater server, or something changed that makes the server think our version of Pr is older than it is. Or, there actually is a 6.0.3 update available that's not getting installed. Or....
This is probably something Adobe needs to fix on their end.
And stop teasing us.
Here's an informative read about the 6.0.3 update that is PC only and the 6.0.2 for Mac. It looks like our PC brethren are just getting some bug fixes that were already in 6.0.2 on Mac, if I read it correctly.
Interestingly, my the updater on my laptop isn't telling me that Pr needs updating. So, maybe this is a local issue after all. Perhaps something having to do with Pr preferences, which I have to trash about ten times a day with certain types of source footage.
