Just need to export picture with burned-in timecode for a sound designer. Specs are RED Scarlet, 4K, 23.976. When I lay transparent video and timecode over picture, though, it's counting at a 29.97 frame rate and clocking my 1 hour and 26 minute movie in at 1 hour and eight minutes. I also can't seem to get it to start at 01:00 (one hour) intsead of 00:00.
I've tried to go into Preferences > Media and make adjustments, but no can do.
Thoughts? What am I missing?
You should be able to adjust the timecode frame rate by going to where it says "time display" inside the effects controls panel. You should also be able to adjust the starting timecode by using the option "starting timecode" which is also in the effects controls panel.
See in this photo I use the effects controls panel to adjust the timecode effect. I then set my timebase to match my sequence settings etc. Then you can also adjust your starting timecode if you set the starting timecode. To do this though you'll need to set your timecode source to "generate".
You can also see the photo here too.
Hopefully this helps.
It definitely helped. Thank you so much!
