My Control Panel says I have Flash Player version 11.4.402.278 whereas Adobe's website says I have version 11.3.31.331. Also Flash Player is not listed in Programs. Are the two connected? I'm running Windows 7 and use Google Chrome. Help please.

Hello,
Welcome to Adobe Forums.
Are you checking Flash Player version on Chrome or Internet Explorer (On Adobe's website)
Adobe Flash Player will not appear in Programs as it is a Plugin.
You might gave different versions for Adobe Flash Player (ActiveX Version for IE and Plugin Version for Other Browsers).
Please double check the Flash Player version for both, Start -> Control Panel - Click on Flash Player -> Check on Advanced Tab, Screenshot :
Thanks,
Vikram

Hello,
I checked version on Chrome. I’ve now downloaded a version using IE9 and it is 11.4.402.287. The website is still showing that I’ve got version 11.3.31.331. Hope this helps.

Hello,
Adobe Flash Player 11.3.31.331 version is installed for your other browsers (Chrome or Firefox).
You can download offline installer for 11.4 from this KB : http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html

Hello,
1. I don' have Firefox installed. I used to but i uninstalled it some weeks ago.
2. In Internet Explorer both the plug in version and the Active X version are 11.4.402.287.
3. Using Chrome, the Adobe website says I have version 11.4.31.110. Using IE9 Adobe says I have 11.4.402.287.
4. Chrome says it is up to date.
5. If Chrome is up to date why is the Flash Player reported different to the IE9 version?
6. If I log on to You Tube and right click on a video it reports that adobe flash player is version 11.4.31.110.
7. I can't download You Tube videos using Chrome but can using IE9 with Real Player.
Thanks.

...because Chrome has its own embedded Flash Player version.
