I've got a very large document in CS4, divided into sections (chapters). Currently, there are section markers on various pages, with each section defined by a labelled submaster (so I can see from the Pages panel where each section begins and ends). When I add content to various sections, the section markers no longer align as the pages reflow (because the markers are attached to the actual page numbers and not the content). How can I fix this so that adding content to sections in CS4 continues within the submaster style / section marker for that section and not reflow over the pages?
Or is this feature only versions after CS4?
Section starts are a page property.
If you don't want the text to misalign when you edit, break your text into individual stories for each section. Editing will then cause either an overset at the end of the section/story (in which case you can add a page or pages, or it will shrink away from the end of the last page leaving blank space. In Either case, your section starts will remain on the page where they are supposed to be.
If you break the tory at the section breaks, you can probably also use Smart Text Reflow to contol the adding/deleting of pages.
