Have you tried executing a script file?
Hello Muppet Mark,
I know I can execute scripts from within an action, but how would you execute a script outside AI? Can you explain yourself a bit more?
This is not the type of thing I do usually but you may be able to evoke an Illustrator script file… ( I don't think AI has droplets btw plus I also think droplets require rosetta on mac ). You would need to write/place the script in trusted location either in the app's presets folder or in ~/Documents/Adobe Scripts/
Try saving this as SomeScript.jsx to the above folder… While you have a saved doc open…
#target illustrator alert( app.activeDocument.name );
Mmmm... I just tried it in a different location and it worked! Probably need to do a bit more testing to see whether I can incorperate everything.
I am modifying a psd file and then converting to jpg file using Photoshop dll. but the problem is every time my program runs Photoshop is opening every time. i don't want to open Photoshop to edit psd files.is there any way i can achieve that?
