Jeff -
For my believed registration issue on Adobe Pro X on a CS6 install, there are no indications. I double click on a .pdf file, or direct "open with" from drop down, or go to Programs and click on Acrobat Pro X - I think I saw a spinning Win wheel at first, but mostly nothing. You wait a while because Adobe always takes a couple of seconds to open, but still nothing. No errors.
I've re-installed CS6 since posting. If I have the issue again, I'll attempt MarilynRs steps.

Okay I am having a similar problem. Adobe Acrobat will start up just fine but it won't open any documents. I double click on them on my mac and it does nothing. Help?

Thanks for the link, this worked for us as well. Super irritated that I now need to fix this across 13 machines across the office.

This link is mostly useful.
The last instruction offered: (To permanently resolve this issue, after reactivating CS6, update the Adobe Application Manager by launching it. It is advised that you install any available updates for your CS6 applications as well.)
How do I update applications via Adobe App Mngr? The 'Help' window in Adobe App Mngr does not offer an 'Update' option. My Adobe App Mngr says my purchased apps are not registered (app status is
"Try"). What are my next steps?
Using OS = Win 7, 64 bit on a laptop. I have uploaded screen shots of Adobe App Mngr window for further clarification.
I eventually opened each application and updated it separately to (hopefully!) avoid future problems.
Ta,

Spaltd solution worked for me, but what a royal pain. Hours wasted on software that costs a ton (CS6 W&D). Adobe Application Manager doesn't know what apps I have installed -- worthless or nearly so.
Will I have to go through this everytime Acrobat is upgraded?
