I first installed Presenter 8 trial. Then I installed Captivate 6 trial. Now I can't invoke Captivate from the Presenter ribbon in PowerPoint. How come?

The Application Simulation area of the Presenter Ribbon is simple dimmed (disabled), as if Presenter never recognized the installed Captivate.

Yes, it is. To be sure I just started it directly - no problems. But still no access from within PowerPoint/Presenter.

I'm not sure, but is this integration perhaps only available in the eLearning Suite? Cannot check myself since I have eLS 6 installed

The Aplication Simulation feature within presenter will only function, if Captiavte is installed on the machine and both should be a part of the eLearning Suite.

I have them installed, but not as part of the eLearning Suite. It works for me, so it doesn't seem like that should be the issue.

My bad. Yes it works.

JørgenX: Can you try to launch Captivate first and then Presenter. You would find the Application Simulation highlighted. Let me know, if it is still not working and we can go for a remote sharing session.

Launching Captivate first makes no difference. I've now uninstalled all trial versions and installed a full Adobe eLearning Suite 6 with a serial number. The Application Simulation area in the Presenter ribbon is still disabled.
