Bent Nielsen Oct 12, 2012 4:38 AM (in response to c.frans w)OK, sorry I didn't specify that what I want to do is measure various areas of an image in Lightroom - and it would be nice if the eyedropper would employ 0-255 scale (industry standard which I am familiar with and which is used in Photoshop ) as opposed to a percentage scale (which I am not familiar with, who is?).

Victoria_Bampton Oct 12, 2012 6:09 AM (in response to Bent Nielsen)If you turn on soft-proofing in Develop, the read-out will then be an 8-bit scale of 0-255.

Bent Nielsen Oct 12, 2012 8:02 AM (in response to Victoria_Bampton)Once again, Victoria Brampton has the answer, excellent and thank you
Now I'm wondering why there is only Adobe RGB, sRGB and my printers's profile to choose from - would like a generic CMYK profile

Victoria_Bampton Oct 12, 2012 8:03 AM (in response to Bent Nielsen)LR doesn't do CMYK, sorry (and even if it did, you'd be back to percentages instead of 0-255). What did you have in mind to use it for?
