I've been using premier for about 8 years now and my PC seems to have said goodbye. I had an HP m8100n. At this point in time I only use premier several times a year but I can't have it crashing non-stop when I do use it. What would you people recommend for a new PC - either an actual PC to get or the specs I should be looking for and a reasonable idea of how much I will need to spend. I don't usually shop for computers so I have no clue what I'm looking for. Side point: I have CS3 and may upgrade soon. Thanks!

If you are open to using a Tier 1 workstation like HP Z420 or Z820, which is usually quite a few $$ more than a custom or a DIY system, that's an option too. I don't think anyone on this forum did a write up on them - eventually someone ought to. The extra $$ they cost are justified to some, including users of this forum, and a "complete waste of money" to others.
