One of our users purchased Premiere Pro CS5.5 and our IT department has to support it.
It starts up fine with an active internet connection. Without an internet connection Premiere Pro automatically closes after the splash screen.
This user wants to edit video away from their office/home/etc. I just want to confirm an internet connection is/is not required before breaking the news to them.
I have never needed an internet connection to run Pr 5.5 (other than initial activation), so something else is wrong there....
I noticed that whenever Premiere Pro 5.5 starts without an internet connection a new dynamiclinkmanager.exe process gets created. These processes stack even though Premiere Pro 5.5 quits.
Some CS6 applications are also installed on this machine, and it has its own dynamiclinkmanager.exe file and process. Is this interfering with Premiere Pro 5.5?
Internet isn't required. I have edited on my laptop in the field without internet several times and never had any issues.
