Are you absolutely sure you want to post a list of email links?
Email addresses listed this way online are typically harvested by spam bots for inclusion on wonderful discount offers on Viagra and other "male enhancements" among other less than useful email marketing campaigns.
From Acrobat Pro, you should be able to export as HTML. Open that file in DW, then copy the links/text from the generated file into the html of your page. Don't copy the whole page though. If I recall correctly, it produces some iffy code that you wouldn't want.
My first response was caught by a spam filter!
I was trying to explain why doing this kind of list is not necessarily the way to go, since spam bots will havest your addresses and use them in certain unsolicited email campaigns.
You should be able to Export from Acrobat Pro as HTML, then open the file in DW to copy/paste the links into your page.
Great, thanks. That works.
Now that you mention it, is there some automated way to make these addresses more difficult for the spam bots? I use some javascipt for this in the past, but I don't know if there is some automated and/or easy way to apply it to a couple of hundred names all at once.
Nothing I can think of that would be easy or automated.
Is there a specific reason to list a couple hundred email addresses? Would it be better to choose one generic address for all inquiries and have that person forward to the correct location(s)?
Another idea would be a php form where the email addresses stay on the server and all the user sees is a drop-down menu of names.
The list I received requires a lot of re-keying anyway, because I need to put the person's name in, as well, so I think now that I've got them all in there, I can just do the tweaking from here.
A dropdown menu would be complicated by the fact that there's only a handful of names listed under many diffrent departments. We're listing them alphabetially by department, but still want each name to show and link to that person's email.
Thanks again for your help.
