1. Re: BM Decklink Studio or Matrox MXO2 Mini?
Alex - DV411 Oct 17, 2012 4:05 AM (in response to Kesha_n)Blackmagic Design has a much wider range of products, supported I/O types and resolutions. E.g. if you ever need 4K support, just swap the Studio card for the 4K Extreme, and you're all set.
That said, I prefer external breakout boxes like the MXO2 series or BMD UltraStudio series, rather than the Octopus type breakout cables that come with the Studio cards.

Alan Craven Oct 17, 2012 5:27 AM (in response to Kesha_n)I'm with Alex on the octopus!
I have a Matrox Mini with Max, primarily for the external monitoring and the hardware accelerated export to BR. The latest drivers coupled with the developments in Premiere have freed the Matrox product from its legacy of delayed and buggy drivers.
