I'm doing by the book. Both on the Adobe Web Fonts side as inside the Edge Animate application and it does not work as it is supposed to do.
I've tried a number of fonts, and none of them work.
Did you check the thread above?
Yes, I did. There's nothing that explain the buggy behavior of the Edge Animate.
I need a simple answer: Why adding fonts does nto work while I'm doing everything by the book?
I just did it in two steps
1. Open the source .html file in your favorite editor, and paste the script snippet between the <head> </head> tags. Save and close.
2. Open source project file in Edge Animate, go to the Library Panel > Fonts and click the + icon command. At the 'Add Web Font' dialog, enter the Fallback list, in this case overlock, serif. Click ADD Font to commit.
You should now have it available for this particular project from the Text Tool, as captured below, bottom.
This is a work around which I mentioned in my initial post. So do I have to assume that Edge Animate Add Font functionality is broken and the work around hsa to be used instead?
No, its not broken, per say, because Edge Font services was a later development than the release of Adove Edge Animate 1. So in that regard the 'workaround' will have to be implemented.
The Edge Animate font embed works with other services such as Google Fonts, TypeKit etc.
