2. Re: Keyboard shortcut to change magnification?
danzg Oct 17, 2012 6:03 PM (in response to shooternz)No, I don't mean the timeline .. I mean the Program Panel.
I want to fine tune a garbage mattes corners, so I need to keep zooming in and out of the Program Panel.
Copy the .kbd file
Thanks for that!

4. Re: Keyboard shortcut to change magnification?
danzg Oct 17, 2012 9:58 PM (in response to shooternz)No, that's not what I mean -- that just makes it go full screen.
I need a shortcut to do what the little pop-up menu in the bottom left does ... change from "Fit" to 200%, 100%, 50%, etc.
The tooltop is "Select Zoom Level".
Or, what right-click > Magnification does ...
My control points are OUTSIDE of the visible frame.
There's gotta be a quicker way to change the magnification ... no ??

5. Re: Keyboard shortcut to change magnification?
Steven L. Gotz Oct 17, 2012 10:09 PM (in response to danzg)I looked at the keyboard customization settings and try as I might, I can't see a way to do what you wish.
Edit: I just searched the keyboard file for the word "fit" and it is not in the file. But neither is the word "save". Just a bunch of codes that mean something to the Adobe Engineers.

danzg Oct 17, 2012 10:27 PM (in response to Steven L. Gotz)Wow. Incredible. Thanks for searching!
Just another of the things that keeps us from fully migrating over .... bummer. It's so durn fast...

eg.
I need a shortcut to do what the little pop-up menu in the bottom left does ... change from "Fit" to 200%, 100%, 50%, etc.

8. Re: Keyboard shortcut to change magnification?
danzg Oct 17, 2012 10:39 PM (in response to shooternz)I think I was pretty clear.
In the Adobe Help page called "Using the Source Monitor and Program Monitor" it says
Change magnification
The Source Monitor and Program Monitor scale video to fit into the available area. You can increase the magnification setting for each view to see the video in more detail. You can also descrease the magnification setting to see more of the pasteboard area around the image (to adjust motion effects more easily, for example).
I asked if there was a shortcut to Change Magnification in the Program Monitor.
You assumed I meant the Timeline.

9. Re: Keyboard shortcut to change magnification?
Steven L. Gotz Oct 17, 2012 11:57 PM (in response to danzg)Oh, and by the way, it is the .kys file.
I just spent a little more time in the XML hell that is that file. I really hate trying to read XML. Interesting, but not successful. I believe that the engineers have to make the menu accessible, and that they just have not done so. I must have fat fingered "save" before. I found it this time.
You can change the resolution but not the magnification.
Sounds like a feature request to me.

shooternz Oct 18, 2012 12:22 AM (in response to danzg)I asked if there was a shortcut to Change Magnification in the Program Monitor.
actually you asked:
Is there any way to assign a shortcut to change the magnification in the Program panel?
