1. Re: Show and then hide a checkbox form field
Steve Werner Oct 20, 2012 11:39 AM (in response to Oddvar Haraldson)Checkboxes are used to select multiple items.
If you want to display and "either/or" choice, you want to make radio buttons. When you make a radio button, you want the buttons to have the same name, but a different export values.

2. Re: Show and then hide a checkbox form field
Oddvar Haraldson Oct 20, 2012 11:44 AM (in response to Steve Werner)Ok, I typed wrong. I have a checkbox button "A" that is supposed to show 8 radio buttons. Thus if you choose "A", 1-8 should be enabled. And if "A" is deselected 1-8 should be hidden. Sorry for the confusion.

3. Re: Show and then hide a checkbox form field
Steve Werner Oct 20, 2012 11:47 AM (in response to Oddvar Haraldson)Sounds like you need to create Show/Hide fields with a button. If you don't know how to do this, then do a Google search on "show hide fields InDesign"
Show/Hide fields work by clicking a button to make other button fields visible.

4. Re: Show and then hide a checkbox form field
Oddvar Haraldson Oct 21, 2012 9:22 AM (in response to Steve Werner)Yes, I am trying to make them work the way I want it. I select a radio button A in a group of 4 radio buttons (A B C D). Radio button A executes an action that shows a hidden radio button further down, called X. That works just fine. But when I select B from the the first radio button group I had my hopes for X being hidden again. Do I have to connect actions to all other radio buttons (B C D) in the first group, hiding the X button?
Thanks for your help!

5. Re: Show and then hide a checkbox form field
Steve Werner Oct 21, 2012 9:40 AM (in response to Oddvar Haraldson)Sorry, that's nothing I've needed to do. And I don't have time to play with it today. Good luck!
