    Print & visual  problem

    gpaulunitex
I have a new computer with a new 22" viewsonic hd lcd widesreen running studio 8 on windows xp. The view in fireworks is horrible, text is unreadable at 200%, printing is also very unclear. compared the print from the FW to that of Word, no comparrison, word was far better.

      Printer is a samsung 510.

      Any suggestions?

Fireworks is NOT print design software. It's web graphic creation software.

It's designed to create graphics that look good at actual size on screen.
Zooming it on screen is going to naturally make the pixels bigger. Printing
it isn't going to look as good as paper/printers are a much higher
resolution than on-screen. By default, the print resolution of FW files is
72dpi. You typically want a MINIMUM of 300dpi for decent print output.

          Word IS print design software.
