we have a problem with the (html5)smartimage xtypes.
We don't want people to upload their own images, so we set allowUpload to false.
In html5smartimage, Firefox behaves correctly, but IE8 does not. The displayed text shows correctly "Drop an image", but clicking on it shows the upload dialog.
We changed to smartimage xtype, now it works in IE8 on Win7, but not in IE8 on WinXP nor in Firefox (same behaviour as before)
Is this a known bug?
Do we have to change other settings?
There is a general way to use components as boilerplates, where select users can edit the component, while others cannot:
FYI, I believe smartimage is deprecated in CQ5.5, and the html5smartimage is the replacement.
i don't get, what boilerplates have to do with a bug in an ExtJS component?
No one should be able to upload an image, so we set allowUpload=false
But it doesn't work correctly in both components neither in IE nor in Firefox.
What else can we do?
