    XML import automatically add new pages

    Hans Rein Jacobi

      I've searched al the web but I can't find a suitable answer.

      I'm quite at home with the merge function in InDesign. (attach file, preview, merge in multiple pages)

      Now I'm trying to create a simalar solution with import of a XML file. The XML which is used look basically like this:

      <store>

        <category1>

           <product>

        <category2>

            <product>

      </store>

      ----- Next is Store 2 which has to go in a new page

      <store>

        <category1>

           <product>

        <category2>

            <product>

      </store>

      ------- etc

      So each time when <store> comes by the data has to go in a new page/master (just like the merge function in indesign each new row adds a page).

      I've seen solutions with overflow in textframes (doesn't work for me because there are many frames and products on the page) or duplicate the first page as many times as there are stores (can't believe there isn't an other solution).

      Can anybody help me? Thank you very much!
