You didn't mention what your computer environment is, nor which version of
ADE you've installed. So, I have to guess: Windows 7 PC and ADE 2.0.
The problem sounds like your security settings in Windows 7 won't allow it
to communicate with the Adobe authorization server. Since it's relatively
simple to check them, why not start there. If that's not the issue, then
try checking this forum for threads on installing ADE 2.0. Many folks have
had problems with the install, and the answer might be in there somewhere.
Good guess!. Yes, Windows 7 & ADE2.0.
I modified firewall settings to allow ADE thought the windows firewall, and am still coming up with same issues.
ADE has been installed correctly (have downloaded a free book and can open & read it).
Any other suggestions?
I would have something to say if it were ADE 1.7 - but not 2.0. Sorry!
All, my issue was solved by uninstalling, wiping the Regedit, downloading ADE from Internet Explorer, and installing from that download.
If you get E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED, reset/synchronize with the internet time server.
