OK, thanks for that reminder! Premiere Pro CS6, Mac Mini 2011, 2.7 GHz Core i7, 8G ram, Mac OSX 10.8.2. Yes, I have installed the updates that were available from Adobe. Now, how do I get my audio to play in the source window with the video?
Thank you for that info.
A couple of more questions, please:
When you Copied your AVCHD material to your HDD, did you Copy the full folder structure, or just the actual AV files?
When you Imported the AVCHD material into your PrPro Project, did you allow the Conforming to complete 100%? For more detail, see this article: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3892177#3892177
It appears I may not have put it on my harddrive at all! Originally, when I tried to duplicate the FlashCard AVCHD, I got an error disallowing that. Then I tried just to duplicate the "Private" folder, and got the same alert. So I just dragged the "private" folder from the AVCHD card into the project folder, and whent from there. I edited together maybe 6 clips. But now I can't find the original footage. Yesterday I updated Premiere Pro, and today I was able to duplicate the drive onto my harddrive. But I'm hoping I don't have to reedit everything. (This isn't probably related to audio!)
And I think the audio issue is a setting or something, not related to the clips (?), because there's audio there, it plays for ~20 seconds and disappears. Starting and stopping the clip brings the audio back for another ~20 seconds.
