What kind of clip, and are the video and audio in 2 separate files?
Also, if the Audio & Video are muxed (combined Streams), it's very simple to just Delete the Audio. Drag the Clip to the Timeline, then Alt+click on the Audio, to unlink the files, and just Delete.
I just want to do video inserts over existing audio that's on the timeline. The video was captured with audio from DV tape.
The easiest way to do it is to put the video/audio clip on the timeline, right-click on the clip and select Delete Audio.
I was hoping that wasn't the answer. I use Avid Media Composer quite a bit and we're experimenting with Elements. In Avid, you just deselect whichever track you don't want.
Quick question (since I'm too damn lazy to look it up) when you delete the audio from the timeline, can you also delete the space hence moving everything down?
