1. Re: Files open with view scaled to 1.6%
charles badland Oct 25, 2012 6:32 AM (in response to DTG Magazine)I would try resetting Photoshop's preferences:
Quit Photoshop.
Hold down the the Shift+Option+Command keys (Shift+Alt+Control on a PC) AS you relaunch Photoshop. You'll get a small dialog window to OK resetting the Preference File.
If you don't get that dialog, you did not do it correctly. See if that fixes it.

DTG Magazine Dec 25, 2012 6:19 AM (in response to charles badland)Nope . . . it resets the whole program, but once I set up the workspace as I like, it returns to opening the tiny windows.
There's a bug in the interface that kills the opening size.
I haven't yet been able to figure out where the bug is and how to squash it.
:-(
Very irritating, but I'm starting to get used to it.

BenjaminMarkus Dec 25, 2012 1:22 PM (in response to DTG Magazine)I'm not able to recreate this behavior with Photoshop CS6 on my 10.7.5 MacBook Pro, but that doesn't mean there's not a bug. Please see this FAQ to submit a bug report.

R_Kelly Dec 25, 2012 7:57 PM (in response to DTG Magazine)Hi DTG,
Are you by chance resizing the photoshop window (application frame)?
On a mac the application frame is on by default and takes up the whole screen (or most of it) and the documents open as tabs inside the photoshop interface (application frame).
If you've ever used programs on a windows system, then that's what the application frame does.
If you want photoshop cs6 to act like a legacy application on your mac, you can go to Window and uncheck Application Frame.
