shay_df Oct 28, 2012 2:24 AM (in response to MichaelKazlow)hello michael!
but i don't want to remove the password. i want to give my clients a secured file with extended rights so they can type on it and save the changes and on the other side, i don't want them to save an open file on their computer, so i must secure it by a password

Test Screen Name Oct 28, 2012 3:18 AM (in response to shay_df)Perhaps your solution is simply separation of two files: your working copy and the client copy. It is generally a good idea to treat things like passwords, security, rights, signatures as something you do as part of delivery of a file. Keep a normal PDF as your working copy, and prepare it for delivery.

Rolf Schmoldt Oct 29, 2012 7:59 AM (in response to shay_df)Since A9 / AR9 you have a more strict handling of documents, e.g. "Are you the author of the document?". I noticed e.g. the first time, that such digital signatures, which were created without a digital certificate (API DigSig.HFT) could not been cleared even by the creator. As a plugin developer we found with help of Adobe work arounds.
For delivery of your PDF form only set Reader Rights (Fill In, Save, Sign) and certify the PDF as author. That is what we do for enterprises. Do not set a password.
