Sorry, but it's going to be darned near impossible to give you a straight answer. The reason: the only thing we know is that you're using Time Remapping. Nothing about the footage being remapped, nothing about your computer, OS, AE version... they all have a bearing.
Better information from you means better answers from us.
my apologies I should have given more info, my minds been all over the place.
The Version is CS6 126.96.36.199
OS- Mac OSX 10.8.2
I have been using layered Ai files, the putting the content into compistions for the purpose of remapping. Esentially using this tutorial http://library.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/lip_synch/video-tutorial

When running any kind of complicated software like AE / Premiere / FCP, Macs tend to perform best by doing a clean install of any new OS. After that, it goes without saying that the application software will need to be reinstalled. Does it apply to you?
But first, it may not hurt to turn off multiprocessing and and Open CL acceleration to see what happens.
Thank you so much, knock on wood that seems to have solved the issue.
I have had the same issue.
The problem I'm finding is with the "highly recommended critical update" to 11.0.2.
That update caused me a lot of lost time.
Reinstalling the app worked for me.
