Hello, my catalogue work in indesign is just getting too much - we have 380 pages, thousands of pictures, and our MAC just cant seem to be able to handle it anymore.
So I would like to be able to stagger the work - maybe 100 pages each version of the catalogue. So i could have 3 files of indesign, instead of one, big whopping one.
But i must have the index in each page - is there some way to start an index, say from 100 on the first page, so it starts at 100? and not just Page 1? Is it possible to do that somehow? Obviously, i dont want to have to put in the pages individually it would be such a pain.......is there a way some how? thanks
Notice two InDesign features:
1. You can create sections inside ID doc and each section can has its own custom numbers (Menu: Layout);
2. You can collect ID documents into a book and page numbers could be continued in every document.
hi jump_over, thx but there is no option in the "Layout" in there? Is there a specific button to go too? Theres a few in the Layout menu but theres nothing that i can see can quite do that? thx What is the ID document?
Menu: Layout: (outsid eof the Master pages): Numbering & Sections options... - its possible to start from whatever page number u want, thx
