Tables for layout have not been in vogue for several years - as attested by the changes in the Dreamweaver UI over several versions.
CSS styled layouts have been the backbone of modern web layouts for modern browsers for several years now.
These days it's all about Responsive Web Design (desktop, laptop, netbook, tablet, smartphone) and re-purposing content - all done via CSS.
Hello John,so i guess ill take it as a:not to use tables for my web design Layout,th reason im asking is, because im doing further
tutorials and ive came across another tutor that has a chapter with endless movies on table based website,so i dont want to get into a feature
if its no longer recommended.
Table based layouts are definitely 20th century web design.
CSS layouts are definitely the way to go especially with the power and flexibility offered by CSS3 and modern browsers.
Ill take that as a"Better to see what hes doing but dont get into it,css is the way to go about"!
