    Interactive Map

So I am trying to create a interactive map for my office, that would let a person click a person name on the map and would have a window come up with their information and photo. I want to be able to have a backend to this that way I can just update the excel or access file. I am not sure if this is possible in indesign or if I need to use another program. I have been playing with data merge, but haven’t had much luck with that. any help would be appreciated.  ty

It's not possible in InDesign with interactive PDF. It's possible to use Show/Hide fields to make a photo or text visible, but it has to be turned into a button so it cannot be live.

It might be possible in an Digital Publishing Suite app (probably using a live HTML5 feed). If you're interested in that kind of workflow, check out the Digital Publishing Suite forum.
