    Kaleidoscope effect between pictures

      Hi!

I am aware of the build-in effect "kaleida" but I want to "merge" one image into another using a kaleidoscope effect. Meaning that both pictures will (at some point) be visible because I want to create a scene change.

After reading some tutorials (and trying to adjust the effect in after effects) it seems to me that I cannot obtain that with kaleida. Am I correct?

Is there any other way to do this?

      Thanks!

Sounds perfectly doable, but you're gonna need additional "kaleida-fied" mattes, meaning you'd have to figuire out how to create a b/w gradient and then mirror it in sync with your two different footage kaleidoscopes. and how complicated that gets will depend on what pattern you use, of course.
