Clearing out the array isn't going to get you anywhere. You need to first
unload the movies you loaded in. You should be using MovieClipLoader class,
along with its unloadClip method.
You say you're loading images into an overview clip - how are you loading in
Also, why is clearing out everything (with unloadMovie) bad? You load in new
images anyway right?

Here's the code to load the movie. I'm using loadMovie not the Movie clip class as you have suggested.

I believe the problem I'm having is that when I use the unloadMovie (bad) or unloadClip on a button where I toggle back to reload a new array into a movie clip it also deletes the one being loaded as well as the current frame's new array.
Can one sequence these two commands in one button so that: the contents of the existing frame are erased before the movie moves to the new frame where a new array is loaded.
