I'm having an issue with copying RTL languages from MS Word into a TLF textbox. I've search and search for this answer (have found others with the issue), but can't seem to come across a fix.
Most recently, I have been working with Hebrew. If I paste the text into a TLF textbox and have the settings set to Right to Left with alignment from the Start, it looks great in Flash. However, when I publish it, the text is reversed and it aligns it from the left.
If I paste the text into a TLF textbox and have the settings set to Left to Right with alignment to the Right, the Hebrew text looks fine, but I can't put the closing punctuation on it. It will put the closing punctuation at the far right of the textbox in front of the last line of text.
Any help with a solution to either of these scenarios would be great.
Don't know much about this, but the problem is probably with Word.Flash really likes unicode and I don't know how compatible word is. In the past it has usually done things its own way.
Can you try some other kind of text editor? And save the text as UTF-8?
I had the same problem using Dreamweaver 5, but the punctuation problem was solved when I upgraded to Dreamweaver CS6.
