2. Re: Premiere Pro 6 Mac install problems
Rich Hall Oct 30, 2012 1:25 PM (in response to Jeff A Wright)I found a fault in the .psd as you suspected, Jeff, and thanks for responding. It was CMYK. Still, the crash this morning was the bigger issue. I spend an hour on chat with Adobe only to be told that it's an Apple problem with disk permissions, and Apple says they don't have anything to do with third party permissions. Ai yai yai. The workaround is, when Premiere stalls on startup, meaning the startup icon is on screen and scrolling through everything it loads but hangs a "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle" is to force quit, go to activity monitor and force quit "AdobeQT32 Server". That seems to do the trick, but isn't there something Adobe can do to make so this doesn't happen every few days when working in Premiere Pro CS6? Or, again, is it an issue on my computer or my operation of same? Thanks again for diving in.

Got the error message
"loading ExporterQuicktimeHost.bundle"
I had that error a few weeks ago. Do you have Final Cut installed on your system? The fix for me was to reinstall Final Cut, as that reinstalled the quicktime exporter bundle and allowed Premiere to work with it once more.

Rich Hall Oct 30, 2012 4:00 PM (in response to SimonHy)Hey SimonHy -
No, never had Final Cut on this machine. I do have two versions of QuickTime, though. Still doing panoramas from time to time and need QT7 for that, QT10 for everything else.

Rich Hall Oct 30, 2012 4:58 PM (in response to SimonHy)That sounds like a good idea. I've got both QT7 and QT10 on this machine. QT7 is kept in the utilities folder for some reason, but I need it for the occasional qtvr that I do. I'm guessing having both may be part of the issue, too?

SimonHy Oct 30, 2012 5:52 PM (in response to Rich Hall)No, you should be able to have two versions installed. I do. I use QT7 for most stuff cos I like it more.
