I have made a interactive Indesign CS6 file and exported it as .SWF.
When I played it on my computer everything works, but when I e-mailed the files and open it on another computer the video doens't work anymore.
What am I doing wrong? I hope somebody can help me, I am just a beginner with interactive indesign files.
InDesign does not embedd FLV/F4V video files to SWF. Instead of that a Resources folder is created. After export you always have to keep SWF file and Resources folder together. If you separate them, Flash Player will not find the video when it suppose to play it.
Here´s more info about that:
Other Issues tab, My videos are not working.
That FAQ is meant for eDocker users but I think that information is ok even if you use only InDesign to produce your SWF.
All this means of course that you can´t use your SWF as and email attachment (I wouldn´s suggest it even if you didn´t have videos in your SWF)
If you must send that file with email, I suggest you upload SWF and Resources folder (and probably html-wrapper as well) to some public server and send a link to html-file to your audience. If you don´t have a server, you can use some filehosting service or even free Dropbox.
Thank you very much! You helped me a lot!
