Just curious to know why HDV .mpeg files captured from tape create XMP files in the same folder, while AVCHD .M2T files don't. My Canon XHA1s camcorder records onto tape, but I attach a Datavideo DN60, which simultaneously records tapeless .M2T files.
Given the choice of formats to edit with, does it make much difference which one I use?
My computer is reasonably fast with 32 GB RAM. CS6
PP does create the XMP files in the same folder as the MTS files. (At least, it does for me.)
It doesn't. on my computer Lol!
And I read somewhere that Windows Explorer lists the tapeless files 'AVCHD Video .M2T' but Premiere lists them as 'MPEG Movie' Kind of confusing
