Recently I shot a film with my DSLR and a high quality microphone. When I watch the clips in Windows Media Player, the audio is great, as it should be. However, when I import it into Premiere Pro CS6, the audio seems rather muffled and generally bad quality when I render it and play it back, or export it and watch the clip. Music and sound effects are fine, it's just the audio on the video track that seems to lose its quality. I am sure it is something within the program, as the audio is great outside of Premiere, as I said. Are there some recommended settings or something I could use to improve my audio? Thanks!
Premiere Pro won't degrade the quality of your audio unless you apply an effect which tells it to.
However, many software players have 'enhancements' turned on.
