    Instantiation attempted on a non-constructor.

      I am new to Action Script and Flash Builder.

      I have been trying to compile and run a project in Flash Builder. It is an action script project.

      But I am getting this error.

      TypeError: Error #1007: Instantiation attempted on a non-constructor.

                at mx.preloaders::Preloader/initialize()[E:\dev\4.y\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\pre loaders\Preloader.as:261]

                at mx.managers::SystemManager/http://www.adobe.com/2006/flex/mx/internal::initialize()       [E:\dev\4.y\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\managers\SystemManager.as:2097]

                at mx.managers::SystemManager/initHandler()[E:\dev\4.y\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\ managers\SystemManager.as:2582]

      I searched the entire day on the internet, found some solution also but I am not able to figure out how to implement that solutions.

      As the solution says

      Finally found the issue. Along with the Libraries I was using, there was a swf resource that was being used, it was a flex app compiled on 3.x and then embedded as a resource (rathre than as a library). When that 3.x compiled swf tried to load thats what would cause the failure.. Simply opening the project, changing the mx namespace to the new 2009 namespace and recompiling fixed the problem.

      Till now I am able to find an action script file called mx_internal which had a link "http://www.adobe.com/2006/flex/mx/internal" and it is for sdk 3.x

      I changed it to 2009 as per the instructions but still the error is there.

      P.S I am not doing anything with the pre loader in the project of mine.
