I have what is probably an elementary question:
I have a narrated tutorial for manufacturing. I have an object on-screen and want to highlight a rectangular area when the narrator says "here is the intaller panel". I want a red hollow rectangle with a 2px border (like a call-out) to appear over the object. But.... I will want many such rectangles, all of different sizes. If I create a layer with a mask such that it creates the hollow rectangle, when I resize the layer, the borders distort to different widths.
How can I create a re-sizable hollow rectangle?
Any advice gratefully recevied.
Create a rounded rectangle shape layer. Add your stroke. Adjust the size of the shape layer with the Shape>Content>Rectangle Path> Size tools instead of the scale.
Once you set the radius you can draw new shapes with the tool anywhere you want in the frame.
If you really want to use a mask and a stroke then you have to select the mask and resize that. Using scale will not work with either method.
wonderful!! Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
Glad to help. Hope this answered your question and solved your problem. If you mark the question as answered it may help others with the same question find the answer faster.
