      Hi All

      Hope everyone is well.

We have a customer who has a French domain, www.sunnyheat.fr

I am trying to point his DNS to the BC servers in Europe and his registrant have sent me the following message. Can anybody shed any light on the following below? Would appreciate some help BC gurus.

      Thank you

      Dear customer,

We are writing you about your DNS change issue related to the domain name "sunnyheat.fr".

Indeed, DNSs changes for ".fr" domains have to comply with some technical constraints which have been set by AFNIC (french authority for ".fr" domains).

More precisely AFNIC imposes that his ZoneCheck test (tool allowing to know if a domain name is correctly declared on the servers) is passed with success. Here is the ZoneCheck report:

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Test results

      ---- warning ----

The format of the serial number is not YYYYMMDDnn

      Ref: RFC1912 (p.3)

The recommended syntax is YYYYMMDDnn (YYYY=year, MM=month, DD=day, nn=revision number).

The serial 1347393785 doesn't seem to be in the YYYYMMDDnn format.

      ns2.worldsecuresystems.com/192.150.8.143

      ---- fatal ----

The nameserver list doesn't match the given one

The given nameserver list (ns1.worldsecuresystems.com, ns2.worldsecuresystems.com, ns3.worldsecuresystems.com) is not consistent with the one retrieved from the zone (ns01.6sm.co.uk, ns02.6sm.co.uk, ns03.6sm.co.uk).

      ns2.worldsecuresystems.com/192.150.8.143

      Final status

      FAILURE (and 1 warning(s))

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------

We invite you therefore to contact the administrators of the "World Secure Systems" servers so that they can configure your domain name on their own servers. Once this is done, your DNSs change will be validated by AFNIC. Don't hesitate to provide them with the ZoneCheck report as it will help them to directly identify the problems.

We hope this information has been helpful.

      Best regards,
